Group workshops for children
Activity and Learning
Learning becomes more effective when it is combined with activity and fun. The best form of wisdom is that which is acquired through experience. Children learn better when they see goodness around them (inspiration and imitation) as well as when they set examples for themselves (introspection). That is why knowledge combined with activity ensures superior and long lasting wisdom. We realize that and include experiential learning tasks in our group programs for children. This not only facilitates activity-assisted learning, it is a good platform for building social skills and enhancing the often-neglected social quotient (SQ) of the child.
Workshop characteristics
We conduct educative workshops for children of all ages. The toddler and preschool category of kids are accompanied by parents too. Workshops target different dimensions of the child’s persona; which is essential for global development. Some of these include personality build-up, gender education, stress free living, study skills and spiritual growth. They build upon the children’s strengths by enabling them to open up to others easily and express their viewpoints, help them set positive impressions on their peers, allow sharing of ideas, and add to their own confidence. The net gain is a supra-maximal learning experience, which gets clubbed with fun, enjoyment and interaction. Children perceive the workshops as a ‘fun experience’ while learning becomes an extremely worthy by product.
Group dynamics
Sometimes children can be very poor with expression. They are restricted, defensive and not very trusting. However, they can identify with other children and prefer to learn in a group rather than when alone. When placed with others like themselves, they reveal their ideas more freely, divulge their anxieties without fret, express their opinions to others with greater confidence and get more involved in the form as well as the process of learning; thereby making the entire learning experience stronger. Unknowingly, they enhance their self-confidence in the bargain and it becomes a win-win situation for all.
MINDFRAMES Workshops
MINDFRAMES is committed to providing fun filled and stimulating learning experiences to children. The workshops not only provide information, but also enable children to understand concepts and acquire newer skills, thereby encouraging them to develop emotionally, intellectually, socially as well as spiritually. The sessions may involve small groups with 5 to 6 participants to allow more personal interaction between children as well as large group programs (with 20 to 25 children) that facilitate greater interpersonal focus. Sometimes kids with similar issues are clubbed together to allow interpersonal insight. The workshops are interactive, participative and accompanied by audio-visual aids to offer multi-sense modalities to keep focus and enrich the proficiencies.
